How to Manually Mark a Lesson as Complete
Each Zenva Schools course tracks the user's progress and automatically marks a lesson complete once the user reaches the end of the lesson. However, there may be instances where the user wants to manually mark a lesson as complete.
While this can be done, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- By default, only School Admins and Teachers can manually mark lessons as completed for the courses they're taking for professional development.
- Students cannot mark a lesson as complete manually UNLESS the School Admin turns on the option via the School Settings. Even in these cases, School Admins and Teachers cannot mark lessons as complete on the student's behalf - it must be marked as complete from the student's own account.
Manually Marking a Lesson Complete
With the conditions above established, users should do the following in order to mark a lesson as complete manually.
- Open a course and go to the lesson you want to mark as complete.
- Go to the menu bar at the bottom of the video player.
- Click the Lesson completed toggle to the ON position.
After clicking the toggle, Zenva Schools places a checkmark next to the lesson name and moves the progress bar.
Marking a Lesson Incomplete
Users can also mark a lesson as incomplete in case they want to reset their progress. Follow the steps below to do so.
- Open a course and go to the lesson you want to mark as incomplete.
- Go to the menu bar at the bottom of the video player.
- Switch the Lesson completed toggle to the OFF position.
Note
Note that if the user completes a course, marking a lesson as incomplete does not affect the completion certificate.
