For the convenience of public schools in Queensland, you can find pre-filled answers for the Risk Review assessment below in case such documentation is required for you.
Does the service provider provide a unique generic username and password for each user, or is an email address required?
Zenva Schools requires an email address for Teacher and School Admin accounts, which can be optionally secured with Two-Factor Authentication.
For students, we offer both email login or username login depending on the school’s preference. We do not provide a unique, generic username (this must be supplied by the teacher/school), but the system is able to generate unique, secure passwords if the teacher so desires (teachers can also provide passwords as a matter of preference).
Are users provided with an email address generated by the service, or does the school provide a list of usernames to the service (a list of user generated usernames, e.g. MIS ID via a .csv file).
Zenva Schools does not provide email addresses (or usernames). The school must supply their own list of usernames or emails to use the service.
Accounts are created by the School Admin user directly within the platform. Teacher account creation requires the teacher name and email address. Student accounts require the student name and schools can choose between a username or an email address for login.
Where is the data hosted?

Course environment
How are courses delivered?
Courses are delivered entirely online through the Zenva Schools platform.
Who creates the content?
Zenva creates all course content internally with our team of authors.
What are the elements of the courses?
Depending on course, Zenva Schools can include a selection of the following with each course:
- Video lessons
- Text lessons
- Text-based lesson summaries of video lessons
- In-browser coding exercises
- Quizzes
- Course Files, including items such as assets used in the course, presentation slides, and source code
- Downloadable course plans and unit plans for teachers
Where are the videos hosted?
Microsoft Azure Media Services.
What 3rd party software is needed for the range of courses?
Third party software will depend on the courses the teacher is interested in. For example, a Python course will require to have Python installed, or a Unity course will require to have Unity installed.
The minimum requirement is a web browser to access the platform, but most courses require a code editor such as Visual Studio Code. Our courses can be followed along with any code editor.
